Sue Woodgate - Chartered Accountant

After graduating from Birmingham University, with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I trained as an accountant with one of The City’s leading firms. There I gained experience with all sizes of business. I steered my career towards supporting smaller enterprises by moving to a practice in Kingston as Audit Manager shortly after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.

Having started a family, I decided to set up practice on my own, and have been successfully doing so since January 2002. Since then, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from sole-traders to multi-million pound enterprises, individuals with rental properties and small charities.

I pride myself on providing a personalised service tailored to each individual client’s needs and working hours. I aim to relieve you of the paperwork and liberate you to do what you do best!

I provide a comprehensive service preparing your accounting records from source documentation including receipts, invoices and bank statements to provide you with an up to date financial position. I can also advise you on what records you need to keep.

You can see your profits grow monthly, quarterly and annually.

I will even provide you with an estimate of taxes payable as your profits grow so you can keep money aside and avoid being taken by surprise when the bill lands on the doormat!

VAT Returns can be the last thing you want to do after a day at work. Let me take the strain away from you.

If you are not sure whether you should register, or if you are required to register due to level of sales, I can advise you and take you through the registration process, if appropriate.

I will also monitor whether you have fallen below the de-registration threshold and advise whether it would be beneficial to your business to de-register.

As a registered business I will prepare your VAT Return for you. Once figures have been agreed by you I can even do the online submission on your behalf.

On a monthly bookkeeping basis I can also let you know much the liability is building up to so you can prepare for the end of the quarter.

From a single employee payroll to a larger scheme I can run weekly or monthly pay runs, provide payslips for employees and file necessary returns with HMRC. I will advise you in plenty of time how much is due each month.

I will complete all necessary PAYE year end filing obligations when April arrives.

For Construction Industry clients I will submit monthly CIS returns, provide statements for each subcontractor and advise you how much tax is due.

If you are required by HMRC to file a tax return let me help you!

I can prepare company, partnership and personal self assessment tax returns for you for filing online.

Whether your are already up to date with your tax matters, or need help in getting them up to date, I should be able to help you.

From  the initial incorporation of your company, and continuing though the years as you grow, I can help you keep your records up to date and compliant with HMRC and Companies House requirements.

I can set up a new company and advise you of the important consideration that need to be made when setting it up.

I can provide an all round service from basic bookkeeping, on a weekly or monthly basis, through to preparation of annual accounts from your own records.

I will draft statutory accounts for your approval before filing at Companies House.  I will also calculate your Corporation Tax liability and file the company’s tax return with HMRC.
